Translation Notes: The use of "ohoshi-sama" in line 5 - addressing the star with the "sama" honorific - connotes that the singer is speaking directly to the star, but the rest of the thought uses a "passive" voice. I previously put the entire thought in passive voice, but I've since reconsidered this. (The "no" particle, usually used in a possessive sense, can be used as a substitute for the question particle "ka" in certain situations.) I _believe_ that the revision is a more accurate translation, but be aware that the previous translation, "The star that will someday grant my wish glitters and twinkles, not intending to answer", might also be the intended meaning.
